VOLKSWAGEN ID.R
- The Volkswagen ID.R is a prototype fully electric vehicle designed as a part of Volkswagen's ID Project.
- And also is included within Volkswagen's R series of cars designed specifically for in motorsport events.
- It is the current record holder of the fastest run up the Goodwood hill climb with a time of 39.9 seconds.
- Volkswagen had also made slight modifications for the run up the goodwood hill mening it was lighter than when it was at Nurburgring and Pikes Peak
- At the Goodwood run it weighed less then a 1000 Kgs
- The car is also the first car to break the 8 minute barrier up the Pike Peak Hill Climb (7:57.148)
- On 3rd June 2019 it broke the record of the fastest electric car around the Nurburgring with a blistering fast lap time of 6:05.336, in the process it dethroned the NIO EP9 to achieve the record.
