Performance & Driveability :
The Innova Crysta comes with an athletic 2.8-liters of Turbo diesel engine from Toyota's new GD family producing 174 PS of peak power @3400 rpm & a healthy 360 Nm of torque. The 6-speed automatic unit is zippy & brings on the power whenever you demand it.The overall cabin refinement has really improved and it feels much better insulated than before. Though there is a titchy dead zone around centre of the steering when cruising at high speeds which makes steering feel lighter. But at the end of day this car proves to be a congenial cruiser for which it is made.

While the Tata Hexa will be propelled by a 2.2-liter Varicor 400 diesel engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission delivering a robust 156 PS of power @4000 rpm & exquisite 400 Nm of torque. The Innova Crysta is comfortable & refined. It truly stands out in long drives without letting you feel exhausted. The chassis feels composed at high speeds and the sequential shift is fun to drive. It has an excellent mid range punch. You can choose between the Eco & Power mode as per your driving needs. However the suspension is not so agile at the corners & doesn't provides balanced feedback. It will be disappointment for those enthusiastic drivers who love to flick from one end course to other.

Innova is backed by Toyota's excellent after sales support. Some parts might cost you a bit heavy on pocket but it's all about the peace of mind service that Toyota offers to its customers.
The Hexa too looks promising when it comes to reliability as the previous records of Tata with the Safari & Safari storme are much pleasing authentic. Tata is intensely trusted by its customers for the pan india network that it offers. Tata Motors is revamping its after sales and service strategy to improve customer satisfaction. To that end, the company has introduced a host of new initiatives including mobile vans, customer apps, special discounted spares, free check-ups and showroom upgrades.

The Innova Crysta has sustained its position in the market since decade as an utterly composed MPV with sharp & sweet styling, tall stance, premium and upmarket feel in the cabin, loaded with tons of features & Toyota's strong brand legacy in India. The performance is appreciable but it lacks that punch in drive that Toyota is known to deliver.

Hexa on the other hand overthrows Innova Crysta in almost every department, as it offers much better driving dynamics, bold & muscular design throughout, extra features than Innova Crysta. Hexa gives you the space & comfort of a MPV and practicality of a SUV due to its 4WD nature combined with super drive modes than helps it glide over any sort of terrain. Hexa being more wider and longer than Innova Crysta gives it an extra edge over it. Hexa also crush Innova Crysta for the price that it offers, as it's priced relatively cheaper than Innova Crysta. Thus our pick for this comparison is Tata Hexa as it proves to be a great overall package & value for money product from Tata Motors. "Well done Tata !
