Datsun Go+ vs Maruti-Suzuki Swift Petrol
Verdict: Datsun Go+ is immensely more practical and better value-for-money than Swift

Datsun Go+ vs Maruti-Suzuki Celerio Petrol
Verdict: Celerio is better than Datsun Go+

Firstly, Datsun Go+ is no match for the sheer convenience of the Celerio's Automatic AMT Gearbox. AMT is a brilliantly simple yet effective technology that makes the Celerio Automatic more fuel-efficient than the Datsun Go+. As for the manual geared Celerio, it too is more fuel-efficient, quicker, faster, more refined, more maneuverable, better handling and comparatively luxurious car than the Datsun Go+. As for the question of the 2 additional seats of the Go+, they are useless for anyone above 10 years of age. Also there is hardly any boot-space left behind the seats for carrying luggage. Even when the seats are completely removed there's only 350 litres of boot-space compared to Celerio's 232 litres which itself is fairly sufficient for weekend getaways. Additionally, Celerio is backed by Maruti-Suzuki's legendary after-sales-service and is bound to retain better retail values as per tradition!

Datsun Go+ vs Maruti-Suzuki WagonR Petrol
Verdict: Datsun Go+ is much better than WagonR

1. Safety: WagonR is no better than a breadbox on wheels and in the event of a moderate crash can be fatal. Go+ is also not a NCAP certified car, but still will fare much better than the WagonR in the event of a crash.
2. Boot-space: WagonR has pathetic boot-space not enough to carry even 2 mid-size pieces of luggage, whereas in the Go+ with the 3rd row of seats taken out, you get a decent 350 litres to scatter your belongings on.
3. Fuel-efficiency: Datsun Go+ may look big but it is surprisingly fuel-efficient. We were surprised to find out that the puny looking WagonR was just 1-1.5 kpl more efficient than the Go+ in day-to-day driving
4. Acceleration & Drivability: Both cars are fairly evenly matched
5. After Sales Service: One parameter in which Datsun is still no match to Maruti-Suzuki is the sheer coverage of service network and associated effects on resale value.
6.Pricing & Features: WagonR VXi may be cheaper than Datsun Go+ T, but the T itself has decent features with all the essentials like, AC, Power-Steering, Front Power Windows, Central Locking & a smart inexpensive infotainment system.

Datsun Go+ vs Hyundai i10 Petrol
Verdict: Datsun Go+ is better than Hyundai i10

Datsun Go+ vs Maruti-Suzuki Ritz Petrol
Verdict: Ritz is better than Datsun Go+

Datsun Go+ vs Maruti-Suzuki Ritz Petrol
Verdict: Datsun Go+ is better than Liva

Datsun Go+ vs Hyundai Grand i10 Petrol
Verdict: Datsun Go+ is better than Grand i10

Datsun Go+ vs Tata Zest Petrol
Verdict: Datsun Go+ is better than Zest
Datsun Go+ vs Tata Bolt Petrol
Verdict: Datsun Go+ is better than Bolt
For the same asking price of 4.5 lakhs Datsun Go+ offers some critical features like Central Locking, Power Windows & a Stereo over the Zest XE. It also offers a very useful 350 litres of boot-space compared to the Bolt's dismal 200 litres. It returned a respectable 2 kpl more than the Bolt in our road-test. And, in the long run, it will no doubt prove to be a more reliable vehicle than Tata's latest hatch. If the question of stretching the budget to buy the Bolt XM comes up, do remember that when you stretch your budget over 5 lakhs many more options better than Bolt, ahem Ritz ahem, which are far superior in every aspect are also vying for your attention as well.
